New Projects for an Old Ass Blog

I can't believe I remembered the password for this blog.

Bound Stems fans, in case you've been lurking here, quietly, for the past 4 years wondering what would happen next: excellent news! There are a few things to keep on your radar.

Evan relocated to St. Louis to do a number of things very well - including making music, making an amazing home, and making rad-ass posters and prints.

Find out more by checking out Sleepy Kitty Music and Sleepy Kitty posters/prints.

Bobby, Radz, Fleury, and Janie remain knee deep in Chicago, and are starting a new band called Like Pioneers: http://likepioneers.com

Other folks in Like Pioneers include Jesse Woghin from the Narrator + Flameshovel Records, and Darren Garvey from just about every project you've ever liked. No, really.

We are still, both individually and collectively, in love with Maritime. Nothing there has changed. See you out there, friends!

Live on KEXP

(Note that at the time of this posting, the Bears are now 7-0).

We will be playing a live set for KEXP tomorrow, Monday, at noon. The format also includes time for an interview, so tune in to hear us say our names awkwardly in order. It is highly likely that someone will say, "Hey, there are two Dans! That's easy to remember!".

Tune in at www.kexp.org. Then come to Philly with us to check out the Cold War Kids.

Cheers to Washinton DC and the DAM! Festival last night... we had a blast, and hopefully CHIME can benefit from the rockin'.

Bound Stems + Amy Sedaris. Hot.

Good news, Twins fans.

Bound Stems will be playing a special show November 15 with Amy Sedaris in Minneapolis, as she tours to support her new book, I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence. According to hosts Minnesota Public Radio, this event will "bring together writers, be they novelists, screenwriters, bloggers or critics, and some of their favorite musicians for an evening of music and insights that spring from the written word." Word?

Tickets are $15, and they are available starting today from Ticketmaster.

Here is Amy Sedaris doing pilates covered in sprinkles.

W-OXY!

Last night's show in Cincinnati gave us the chance to stop by WOXY and do some guest DJing. All that is well and good, but mainly it gave us an hour to drink energy drinks with Mike and Shiv.

You've probably heard the news, but WOXY is back up and running thanks to something called LALA.com. Whatever it is, buy what they're selling - they obviously have great taste and even better foresight.

Here are some studio-cam pics:

Also, a stranger named Julie made a beautiful poster for the show. Her website is 80percent.com.

Thank you so much.
